Sohar Industrial Maintenance Est. (SIME) is a specialized engineering company, established in 2012 by two enterprising entrepreneurs and a team of management and engineering professionals, equally supported by a large pool of highly skilled manpower which enables SIME to provide quality engineering support services in Aluminium and Petrolium Mechanical and Electrical works to all types of industry in the region.

SIME has a highly skilled manpower force and a fully equipped workshop to ensure that we will be able to place highly experienced and qualified personnel to supervise, coordinate and complete the jobs contracted to us to the entire satisfaction of the customer.

All our employees are trained to adhere to strict codes of safety at work, our safety standards are based on international and local industrial codes of safety and meets the requirements of all industries locally.

SIME have also established partnerships within SHWE with a consolidated group of professional company that support us and the local industry requirements for various aspects of engineering activity (e.g. Hydraulics & Fluid engineering, machine shop activities, metal castings etc.), whereby enabling us to target and support all of our customer’s requirements in industrial engineering and services.

Our company’s main thrust area includes (but are not limited to) renewal, design, fabrication and erection of steel structures, piping installation and industrial maintenance for government and private sector projects, power stations, water, oil, gas and petrochemical industries, steel, alloys and aluminium industries, process control industries , marine, etc. In addition, we also support the local and regional construction contractors in undertaking sub-contracts in structural steel and pipe fabrication and also the supply of qualified manpower.

SIME main objective is to provide a comprehensive range of fabrication and industrial maintenance services to all types of industry locally and regionally, meeting this goal involves us to continuously upgrade technology and provide training support to our employees to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. Our engineers and technicians undergo extensive in-factory and on the job training programs in order to provide the most competent engineering services ever offered.
